Home--Where The Heart Is

Well, the Vassar's are homeless. We have an apartment in NYC, but we are currently shifting from place to place before the big move. We are learning a lot about being at home where our hearts are. Our hearts are with our family and closest friends. We are staying with these dear loved ones in the 2-3 weeks before moving in to our new place many miles away. We are reminded this holiday season of how much we love the people God has placed in our lives. You guys truly create a feeling of "at home" in our hearts. We love you all. And, thank you for all you selflessly do for us during this time.

To fill you in on some details...JR moves to NYC January 5th into a completely empty apartment on the Upper East side. I leave somewhere around the 11th after our moving truck arrives with our belongings. My sister is flying with me and the kids and will help us unpack when we get there. I think total reality will settle in when she leaves for Texas.

I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. If we do not get to see some of you before we leave, please know that you are loved and appreciated. Pray for us and keep in touch. Forgive us if we do not get in touch with all of you right away. We will be busily adjusting to our new place and new way of New York life!

Hey Ginger - so glad I got to see you at mdo today - i read jr's email about your new friends for all four of you - that is an answer to prayer :) i pray that God will also develop beautiful friendships within your appt bldg. this is hard; and you will get thru it - mostly because God is good - and also because you don't have a choice :) as my precious friend, karen, says, Life is Hard; but God IS Good :) praying for you - Ann
