January: Hard Work
Each month this year we are focusing on a different family virtue to learn about and practice. January was all about hard work. We set some goals as a family and individually of things we needed to work on. Then we played the "hard work game"...which means we got stickers on our game board on the fridge everytime we showed hard work in the areas we had listed. Our reward when we filled up our game board with stickers was going to see Curious George the weekend that it opened in theaters. This picture is when we had just walked in the door after seeing the movie. Jud was tired and cranky, but he did enjoy the movie. We learned that hard work takes practice and patience and determination. It is easier to take short cuts, but we learned that doing a job right is worth the effort in the end. It is also fun to work together.

What a great idea...and I love the picture...sorry your little guy is not a "happy camper" in this picture...but it made me laugh, cuz I have soooooo been there, and we have a few pictures like it to prove it :)
